Welcome 4th Grade Firebirds & Family

Welcome to 4th Grade!

4th grade is a year of personal and academic growth. 4th graders are expressive and creative. 4th grader love to be able to explain things. We will work on supporting their academic language so they can express themselves in eloquant and logical ways. 4th graders also LOVE to read. We will do lots of reading, both as a group and by ourselves.

Teaching and learning in 366 is exciting, challenging, and fun. Let's make this the best year ever.

About Ms. Amanda Lodermeier

I have been teaching for over 10 years, and loving every moment of it. I have a BA in Music from Gustavus Adolpuhus College, my teaching degree from Rutger's University,  and a Master's of Science in Global, International and Comparative Education from Drexel University. As a lifelong learner, I am always reading and studying. Recently, I have been studying how to better teach Advanced Leaners. I am also working to increase my Spanish language understanding.

When I am not teaching and learning with the Firebirds, I enjoy exploring with my family. My spouse, Adam and my two children, Linnea and Henrik, and I love exploring our South Minneapolis neighborhood on foot and on bike. In the summer, we love reading at Roosevelt Library, swimming in Lake Nokomis or playing at Hiawatha Park. When snow falls, you can find us sledding at Sibley or sipping coffee at Angry Catfish.
