Mrs. Crawford
Ms. Crawford classroom

Hello, my name is Mrs. Crawford. I am the special education resource teacher (SERT) for kindergarten, first and second grade. I grew up in South Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High school and attended Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. After I graduated from Macalester, I had the opportunity to travel to Greece, Amsterdam, Germany an Italy.  I received my Master's degree in special education from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have been married to Don Crawford for 17 years and I have a daughter named Taylor that attends middle school. We have a dog named Mason and he has a big personality for a little wiener dog.

I started teaching after I spent a year as a Minnesota Reading Corps tutor an enrolled in the Collaborative Urban Educator (CUE) program at the University of St. Thomas. I began my teaching career in special education at a charter school in St.Paul and have been in the Minneapolis district four years.

I believe children learn when they have fun, are encouraged to reach potential beyond their imagination and when all adults help them build confidence in themselves. It really takes a village to teach children, through parental/family involvement, community support an education.
